More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience with caregiving for both of my siblings (one younger, one older with special needs) I always had to act as the older sibling due to my older sisters disabilities, as well as being trusted with kids of parent friends, etc, so I will say I have a handful of experience with children. Additionally, I have experience working in a group home for special needs individuals. These individuals were typically adults; however, this experience provided me with learning skills related to caregiving that I hadn't learned before, such as medication reminders, adapting to each individual's behavior patterns and episodes, quick thinking, and so much more. I loved working with them because the people I was caring for were each so unique; they each had their own way of making my day every time I came into work. I believe this acquired me with a majority of the skills needed to care for young children as well.

Is developing a comfortable relationship with the people (s) being cared for, making sure they can trust you and be as comfortable as possible.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a sibling that is special needs so I am used to being around it, as well as experience working in a group home for special needs individuals, which allowed me to adapt to different behaviors, routines, etc.
