I love involving kids in art projects where they can express themselves and be creative. I like to participate in as little screen time as possible so children can actively engage their minds. Additionally, I love to find creative ways to involve kids in things like cooking. I’ve noticed they always tend to eat more when they have helped create it. One of my personal favorite activities is to play outside with things like chalk or just simply using our imaginations.

My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for two toddlers that were on the autism spectrum as well as volunteered for places that have exposed me to caring for people with special needs. To me, no child is different, we just may need to find ways that allow us to work best.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My most memorable experience was while caring for 3 children. That day was my last day caring for them after knowing each other for a long time. When they woke up we all made chocolate chip pancakes (yes, I know it isn’t healthy but to us it was a special occasion). We spent the day riding bikes, playing in the park, and imagining we were pirates. It was just like every other day until their little girl ran up and handed me a folder of all the pictures she drew of our adventures together. I’ve never been so thankful for a job experience.
