More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have three younger brothers, so naturally I spend as much time caring for them as possible. For the past four or so years I have assisted with my hula Hālau’s keiki and kamaliʻi classes. Being raised in a tight knit community where there were always babies and young children to hold, play with, care for, etc.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy being with children. Simply put. And everything that may include! From the munchkins who have a strong sense of movement and exploration, to those who prefer the more laidback experiences of life. I love being a person who the children want to share every find and creation with.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of this job is first, making sure the children’s needs are met, closely followed by making sure the young ones (and their parents) know they have another safe person in their life.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a baby brother with Down syndrome, whom I have learned to care for more recently. The community I was raised in had multiple children who had autism or other developmental challenges that we all learned to work with and come to love.
