Reading with kids had probably been one of my favorite things. I have dyslexia and it acts up pretty bad sometimes, so it feels really accomplishing when I can read books and stories to kids. I love any outdoor activities as well, and I played softball before going to an all-STEM high school.
The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion, the most important part about being a nanny is not overstepping any boundaries set by parents: I'm a nanny, not a third parent. Something that helps keep me in my place at times is thinking like I'm a highly trusted best friend or an older sister (which usually makes me more likable anyway, haha). I'm here to help in any way possible, but I won't ever try to take over as a parent.
