More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I became a daycare teacher at independence learning center after I experienced 7+ years of babysitting and worked there for 2 years. I have worked with all children! No one is different in my eyes, just different routines same learning. In high school I replaced one of my periods for Exceptional Child Education where I helped kids with special needs receive the correct learning such as English, math, science and geography so that they could successfully received their diploma by hitting milestones that some think that they can’t.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy, swimming, playing outside, going to the park and walking around the neighborhood. I also enjoy learning colors, shapes, animals, numbers, states and so much more. I also love to have a one on one teaching hour where we learn math, science and English, I also love teaching how to form sentences and use punctuation. Most importantly I love to teach motor skills, such as learning how to use utensils while eating, hold a pencil, being able to pick things up and put them down, putting their clothes and shoes on, using scissors on a straight line, filling up a cup, putting a cup with liquid down without spilling it, drinking out of a regular cup without making a messand so much more regarding motor skills.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment for the child. A good nanny is dependable, patient, attentive, and understands that every child has different needs. It’s also important to communicate well with parents, encourage learning and development, and make sure the child feels valued, comfortable, and cared for.

My experience with special needs children...

While working at Independence Learning Center, I worked with children ages infant–3 and 4–10, including children with special needs. This experience taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and providing individualized care. I also worked with special needs students in a high school classroom, which strengthened my ability to create a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment for children of all abilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments as a teacher and nanny are seeing children learn new skills, build confidence, and reach milestones they have worked hard to achieve. I love creating fun, engaging activities and watching children get excited when they discover something new. Building strong relationships with children and their families and knowing I've made a positive impact in a child's life is the most rewarding part of my work.
