Currenctly, NAMC certified Montessori lead guide, toddlers age 12-24 months. I have been at my current school for almost 11 years. Before this, I ran a successful home daycare for 13 years which allowed me to be home for my own children as well.
Most of my experience is with children under 3.
I have been most passionate about my work with young toddlers. I have developed a toddler program and curriculum focusing mainly on emotions, communicating, socializing, grace and courtesy and practical life activities based on the Montessori philosophy.
I encourage independence and believe that young toddlers are capable of doing many daily tasks by themselves, with some gentle guidance and observation. Language development fascinates me. Teaching toddlers (and parents) how to communicate more effectively and peacefully. Baby sign language is one way I do this.
I am relocating to the area soon and would love to share my experience in a more individualized way. CPR/first aid & MAT certified

I owned a Christian preschool for 20+ years. I sold it to a church and remained with the business for 3 years to get it up and running smoothly and then I retired to Carolina beach. Retirement did not last long. I missed being around kids so I began nannying a couple of days per week for 2 families in Wilmington. I also became the kids' director at a church in Carolina Beach. I am currently the kids' director at a church in Wilmington full time. I am ready to slow down and focus on 1-2 kids a few days per week instead of working full-time.
