A little bit about me

I am a mom to a toddler and have been in childcare since I was 12 years old. I am the oldest of 4 so I have been around children for as long as I can remember. I worked as an in home care provider for an autistic individual while in college and that was probably two of the best years of my life. My parenting style leans more towards Montessori, kids are so smart and they absorb so much. I love interacting with children of any age and my daughter loves to go with me wherever I go. She’s a girl after my own heart where people are concerned. I am first aid/CPR certified, have a portable background check through DCYF, as well as my food handlers card valid as of 2023. My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for an autistic individual for 2+ years while in college. I realized after becoming a parent a great deal of my parenting style/skills have carried on from that experience.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment from watching an infant recently became when she would get to our house and my daughter was awake. Their reaction to seeing each other was PRICELESS. I never got to record it so it is forever imprinted on my heart and mind as well as my daughter’s. She still asks for her every after she moved states away.
