A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Winnifred, and caring for children is something I genuinely enjoy and take to heart. I understand that trusting someone with your child is one of the biggest decisions a parent can make, and I strive to create a safe, loving, and comforting environment where children feel happy, heard, and cared for.
I am a patient, dependable, and nurturing caregiver available for babysitting, after-school care, evenings, weekends, and occasional nanny support. Whether it’s helping with homework, preparing meals, bedtime routines, or simply being a calm and positive presence, I aim to support not only the children but also bring peace of mind to parents.
I love building meaningful connections with families and creating moments where children can learn, laugh, feel safe, and truly be themselves. My goal is to be someone you can trust wholeheartedly, give extra hands when needed.
I look forward to supporting and caring for families with kindness, warmth, and
reliability.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 5 years of experience serving in children’s ministry at church, where I cared for, guided, and supported children. Through this experience, I learned the importance of patience, kindness, emotional attentiveness, and etc

Through my nonprofit initiative, I created a children’s project called Gem-Kids, focused on enhancing children’s cognitive development through arts and crafts, creativity, learning, and positive engagement. During weekends, school vacations, and holidays, parents entrusted me with their children where I provided a safe, joyful, educational, and caring environment for them to learn, create, and grow.

Caring for children is something I truly carry in my heart.

I also spent years helping care for my sister’s children, supporting them through daily routines, learning, playtime, meals, and emotional care. These experiences deepened my natural love for children and strengthened my ability to connect with them in a calm, compassionate, and trustworthy way.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy engaging children in creative, fun, and educational activities that help them learn, grow, and feel confident. Some of the activities I enjoy include arts and crafts, storytelling, reading, learning games, outdoor play, music, dancing, drawing, and imaginative play. I also enjoy helping with homework, teaching basic life skills, and creating positive activities that encourage creativity, communication, and emotional development. My goal is always to create a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment where children feel happy, supported, and free to be themselves.

I believe children are future leaders, and the care, love, guidance, and encouragement they receive at a young age can shape generations to come. That is why I approach childcare with genuine passion, patience, and purpose. To me, caring for children is more than just a job — it is a calling, a ministry, and a meaningful way to give back to the community

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me is creating a safe, loving, and encouraging environment where children feel valued, heard, and supported. I believe childhood is a very important stage because the seeds planted in children today can shape generations to come. That is why I care for children with patience, intentionality, kindness, and genuine love. To me, being a nanny is more than just a job — it is an opportunity to positively impact a child’s life, support families, and give back to the community in a meaningful way.

My experience with special needs children...

While I may not have formal professional training in special needs care, I have experience working with children from different backgrounds and personalities through ministry, family caregiving, and community programs. I approach every child with patience, compassion, attentiveness, and a willingness to learn and support their individual needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was during our Gem-Kids program when a quiet little child who barely interacted with others slowly began opening up through arts and crafts activities. Week after week, I watched their confidence grow, their smile become brighter, and their creativity shine. By the end of the program, the child ran up to hug me and said "Auntie Girl, l can't wait to come back again". Moments like that remind me that caring for children is not just about supervision — it’s about helping them feel seen, loved, safe, and confident enough to grow into who they are meant to be.
