I enjoy engaging children in fun, creative, and developmental activities. Some of my favorites include reading stories, arts and crafts, sensory play, music and movement, outdoor games, nature walks, and simple science experiments. I also enjoy helping with learning activities, routines, and encouraging independence in a playful and supportive way. I always adapt activities based on each child’s age, interests, and needs

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience working with children with special needs, beginning at age 18 when I supported therapy sessions at a therapeutic center. Since then, I’ve cared for children ages 3 to 8 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and sensory processing disorders, providing a structured, sensory-friendly, and compassionate environment tailored to their needs. I’ve also provided one-on-one care for a child with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome and Type 1 Diabetes, assisting with daily routines, emotional support, and medical needs including insulin pod and CGM (continuous glucose monitor) management. These experiences have strengthened my skills in patience, adaptability, and creating individualized care plans

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a nonverbal child with autism communicate “I want to play” using a picture exchange system for the first time. Seeing their joy and confidence grow in that small but meaningful, was incredibly rewarding. Moments like that remind me why I love what I do, being part of a child’s progress, no matter how big or small, is truly special.
