The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the children feel safe, loved, supported, and comfortable. I believe building a trusting relationship with both the children and their parents is very important. Being patient, dependable, responsible, and attentive to each child’s individual needs is what makes a great nanny.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for children with ADHD and have developed a great deal of patience, understanding, and flexibility when supporting their individual needs. I also have personal experience caring for my nephews, including one with autism and another with Down syndrome, ADHD, and autism. These experiences have taught me the importance of adapting to each child’s needs, following routines, providing reassurance and encouragement, and creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments is seeing a child reach a milestone that I have helped them work toward, whether it’s learning something new, becoming more independent, or gaining confidence. I love being able to build a trusting relationship with a child and watching them grow, learn, and feel proud of themselves. Those moments are very rewarding to me and remind me why I love caring for children.
