More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In my country, I volunteered at a preschool, taking care of children and I have always been surrounded by them. I was an Au Pair in the United States for two years, taking care of a six-month-old baby, a three-year-old girl, a six-year-old boy, and a ten-year-old boy. I have experience with different ages! :)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love organizing fun and educational activities with children, like outdoor games, creative crafts, and bedtime story reading. In addition to the activities I mentioned before, I also enjoy taking children to theme parks, going on trips to museums or zoos, and organizing role-playing games to stimulate their imagination. I also really enjoy cooking with them and teaching them fun and healthy recipes! I always strive to adapt the activities to their individual interests and needs. I also love teaching Spanish to children who are interested in my native language.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is the positive impact you can have on children's lives. Being able to provide them with care, emotional support, and help them develop and grow is truly meaningful. Being a nanny involves being a role model, providing a safe and loving environment, and creating special memories with the children.
My experience with special needs children...
During the time I took care of my nephew with autism, I learned to be patient, understanding, and to adapt my care to his specific needs.
I made sure to create a calm and structured environment for him, establishing clear routines and paying attention to his particular interests. I also learned to communicate in a clear and direct way, using visual images and simple language to facilitate his understanding.
Additionally, I sought out activities that were appealing and stimulating for him, such as sensory games, relaxing music, and occupational therapy. It was important for me to provide a safe space where he could express himself and develop his skills.
Throughout this experience, I learned a lot about autism and how to support my nephew in the best way possible. I always felt honored to be a part of his life and to be able to contribute to his well-being and happiness.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I have different favorite moments as a nanny, but seeing the smiles and joy on the faces of the children I care for is something that fills my heart with happiness. Being able to be a part of their growth, helping them learn and explore the world, and creating special memories together is something that I greatly value. Being a nanny gives me the opportunity to make a difference in their lives, and that fills me with happiness and gratitude. It's a wonderful job! 😊🌟

Hi! I currently work from home, part-time in IT and also as a substitute teacher for BCPS. I have a background in Information Systems from UMBC and experience in both tech and education. I’m also a mom of two (teen and pre-teen), so I’m very organized and good with multitasking. I’m looking for a flexible side gig, preferably work-from-home, to earn some extra income.
Part-Time Nanny Available in Timonium, MD: Bernadette M.
I was a nanny for three boys aged 3-10 when I started, and watched them for four years. I have also been a nanny for a baby starting when he was three months to three years old. I ran a daycare for a gym (Bmore Fitness) with children ranging from 2months to thirteen years old. I enjoy outside activities rather than screens, but know when it’s down time. I love active children, and will use up that energy during the day, rather than the hyperactivity that seems to happen right after dinner and before bedtime. If you have active children that want to play, I’m the nanny for you.
