I remember a little kid peed on himself. He was crying and was in so much distress. I calmed him down, squatted down to meet him eye to eye on his level to communicate with him. I asked him what was wrong. He told me he was afraid I'd be upset and we ended the moment with laughter as I explained a storytime of me peeing in bed as a young girl. He felt confident and safe after.
