She was so flexible with our crazy start times, and she took care of her as if she was her own. When we moved apartments, Yoselyn took it upon herself to find free activities around the new neighborhood -she made friends with other nannies so that our daughter could have play dates, and she was always looking for activities that would help our daughter grow. The most important part for me as a nanny is seeing the lasting impact I have on the children I care for, that ongoing bond is what makes my work so meaningful.

My experience with special needs children...

Regarding my experience with children with special needs, a few years ago I worked with a child on the autism spectrum. While his needs were moderate, the experience taught me that, beyond any diagnosis, children truly need patience, empathy, understanding, and respect.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s hard for me to define just one favorite moment as a nanny, because over the past almost 10 years, I feel like I’ve grown alongside the children as well. Watching their milestones, seeing them thrive in music lessons, gymnastics, and everyday life has been incredibly rewarding.

The little girl I currently care for has grown so much in just the past few months — she’s now two and a half years old and becoming wonderfully independent. She completed potty training in just one week and did amazingly well.

Honestly, some of my favorite moments are the simplest ones: seeing children smile, playing with them, lying on the grass outdoors together, and enjoying the beauty of the sky. Those small moments are very special to me and remind me why I truly love what I do.
