A little bit about me

I have been a professional nanny in the Dayton area for the past six years, and I am currently seeking a new position as my current nanny kiddos have grown older and become more self-sufficient.

I am CPR and First Aid certified, comfortable with pets, and experienced in caring for children with special needs as well as managing multiple children at once. I have worked with children ranging in age from 1 to 12 years old, and I enjoy planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that foster growth and development.

I am seeking a long-term position where I can contribute to a family’s growth and work collaboratively as part of a team. As a career nanny, I require guaranteed hours, PTO, sick days, and other benefits aligned with industry standards.

I look forward to connecting with you!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a dedicated nanny for my current nanny family for the past six years. Prior to this role, I provided childcare for a 9-year-old boy who was homeschooled. From an early age, I was recognized as the dependable "go-to" babysitter in my community. My passion for working with children has been a constant throughout my life, leading me to build a fulfilling and rewarding career in childcare.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I prioritize understanding the unique interests of the children I work with and tailoring activities to align with those preferences. For example, in my current role as a nanny, the eldest child enjoys outdoor play and sports, so we engage in activities like bike riding, basketball, tennis, and his favorite—dodgeball. His younger sibling prefers indoor activities such as art and reading, so we explore various painting techniques and are currently enjoying The Magic Treehouse series together. I take an active, hands-on approach to caregiving, participating fully in the activities we do. My enthusiasm and love for play allow me to connect with children in a meaningful and engaging way.

The most important part about being a nanny...

"I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment where children feel valued, supported, and cared for. I prioritize creativity, individuality, structure, and open communication in my approach to caregiving.

I understand that parents seek caregivers who not only build strong connections with their children but also remain a consistent and reliable presence in their lives. I take great pride in my long-term commitment to the families I work with and strive to be a trusted, dependable caregiver that families can count on for years to come."

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for a 9-year-old boy with an auditory processing disorder.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my most rewarding experiences as a nanny is witnessing children develop confidence in their abilities. I make it a point to celebrate their achievements, offering encouragement by expressing my pride when they reach new milestones or overcome challenges. Additionally, I’ve cultivated the habit of saying, “Wow! You must feel so proud of yourself!” whenever they tackle a project or try something new. Recently, the eldest completed his 3D model science project, stepped back to admire his work, and said, “I worked really hard, and I’m proud of myself!” Moments like these are truly heartwarming, as I get to see them grow into self-assured individuals.
