Hi, my name is Zoe (like Zoey, but without the y). I am 21 years old and am an incoming senior nursing student at Fairmont State University! I am 1 of 5 kids and am smack in the middle at #3. Growing up with a bunch of siblings has made me really good with kids of all ages.
I have experience in day-to-day babysitting/nannying, overnights, date nights, special needs, multiple kids- anything you can think of, I've most likely done it.
I am CPR and BLS certified with continuous training being in nursing school.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a nurse extern at UHC and an incoming senior nursing student at Fairmont State University.
2.) I recently babysat for a family with two kids on the autism spectrum with individualized needs and wants. I took them to the pool often, as they love water. I continue to babysit and enjoy family dinners with them often.
3.) I babysit for a family with two young kids heavily involved in baseball and softball so most of my babysitting time with them involves going to practices and games and bringing after game snacks for all the kids to enjoy.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

In the summers, I love going on walks, playing on the playground, swimming in the pool, and having picnics in the yard. I also love building forts, baking and cooking new recipes with the kids, and just staying busy and engaged in general.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me most being a nanny is allow the kids to be the most authentic selves they can be while being safe and secure in their environment and home. If I can be someone that your child can turn to for a laugh, a juice box, or even a hug on a really hard day, I know I've done my job. I want to be someone that the kids feel safe to be around, and not every kid gets that, so that's the most important thing to me.

My experience with special needs children...

I am part of the Fairmont State Swim team during school. We partner with the local autism swim chapter each season a give swim lessons and make sure our kids know how to be water safe. Through this program I have become really close with my swim buddies' family. I now babysit them on occasion and along with being on the autism spectrum they each have specials needs of their own, whether that be in the bathroom, eating, and self-maintenance. It's always a fun time with them and I enjoy getting to be the one that helps them feel the best throughout their daily obstacles.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is probably the day the summer pool got set up in the kids' backyard and we swam for hours doing cool tricks and splashing each other as the sun went down. It was such a great day.
