But quiet time can sometimes be the most important, where things like memory games, yoga, and reading are my absolute favorites—keeping those brains happy and those gears turning! 💌
The most important part about being a nanny...
My top priority is safety—both emotional and physical. I love being a fun and engaging babysitter, but discipline and safety always come first, 110% of the time, even if it’s not the most popular rule in the moment. I’ve taken numerous courses not only through my high school curriculum but also outside of school, including CPR and First Aid training so I can best support the people around me in this way. I make a strong effort to be not just a babysitter, but also a supporter. I want the kids I care for to look up to a positive example and feel comfortable coming to me for help with anything—whether it’s homework, social challenges, or just needing someone to talk to.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My greatest babysitting moment has to be when my baby cousin reminded me of the clean-up rules after I left my work station a little messy to go make lunch... and I just sat there, speechless, as he proceeded to help me clean. 🤣 This was by far my funniest and proudest moment as I watched him turn routine into reality—something I really try to keep prevalent in my babysitting: working hard before you can play even harder!
