More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have hands-on experience working with children in both childcare and instructional settings. I’ve worked as a child care worker and as a swim instructor/lifeguard, where my main responsibilities included supervising children, ensuring safety, teaching skills, and creating a positive, engaging environment. I’m patient, attentive, and safety-focused, and I’m comfortable communicating with parents about their child’s needs and progress.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading, outdoor play, educational games, and creative activities with children. I also love incorporating movement and water-safety skills when appropriate and helping with routines and learning in a fun, supportive way.
The most important part about being a nanny...
From a nanny’s perspective, the most important thing is forming a genuine connection with the child. It’s about understanding their unique personality, needs, and feelings, and being patient and attentive. I want them to see me as a trusted caregiver and sometimes even a friend, helping the child feel safe and supported while encouraging their growth and happiness.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve been around special needs children my whole life, as my mom was a special education teacher for 10 years. I frequently volunteered in her classroom, which helped me develop patience, understanding, and the ability to adapt to each child’s unique needs. I’m comfortable working with children of all abilities and always strive to provide supportive, compassionate care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite experiences was watching one of my swim students finally pass swim lessons after working so hard and staying determined, even after having to take the class twice. Seeing them refuse to give up and gain confidence in the water was incredibly rewarding and reminded me how important patience, encouragement, and support are when working with children.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Grand Forks, ND: Elizabeth E.
I have experience in a daycare and regular babysitting. I have a first aid and cpr certification. I have taken courses to learn about childcare and how to support and encourage strong development in kids.
I have 2 years of experience in a licensed child care facility as well as 1 year of babysitting. For one year of my time in a daycare I was a floater so I gained lots of experience with all ages! For the second year I worked in the infant/toddler program, caring for children ages 4 months-3 years. I assisted parents with drop off/pick up, made sure lunch was served on time. Made bottles for infants. Changed diapers when needed. I planned activities to develop and encourage strong fine/gross motor skills. I supervised nap time and put children to sleep. I hold a valid first aid and cpr level C certificate. I took a 40 hour child care course, which taught me more about child development and emotions.
