Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I don’t have much paid work experience, however I have babysat for many family members, I am a part of a team at my school that works with kids with special needs, and I am part of a program at my school that works with preschool students. I have also been a part of a camp leadership training program which allowed me to meet and work with many other children of a wide variety of ages.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When I spend time with my cousins or any of the kids at my camp I usually join in on an activity they want to do. For example my cousins love to swim and play cards so I join them and help them come up with new games. A couple of the girls at my camp wanted to show there gymnastics skills they had learned so I helped them make it into a Symond Says game where they would perform different stunts they knew.

The most important part about being a caregiver is setting lines of being a friend and a guardian of a child. It’s so important to learn the child and do what makes them interested, but also remembering the rules and boundaries that will keep them safe and under control.
My experience with special needs children...
I am a partner on a unified basketball team at my school. This means that I play alongside children with special needs and help them learn and play a sport. I also have experience babysitting my cousin who is on the spectrum and nonverbal.
