A little bit about me

Hi! I am a recent college graduate from the University of Tennessee. I moved out West in January. I spent all of high school and most of college working at the daycare of a gym. Ever since about 12 years old, I have been babysitting and nannying for all ages. From my daycare position, I have a wide range of child-care certifications. As for me outside of work, I love to do things outdoors - hiking, biking, picnics! I like to keep life creative and find fun things to do with what I have. I was born and lived in Germany for 5 years so I do speak fluent German. I also like to cook and bake - be it tofu "chicken" nuggets, a themed cake or boxed mac n cheese.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at a the daycare of an athletic gym for 4 years. I watched and entertained kids from ages 8 weeks to 12 years and up to 21 kids at a time! I have been babysitting and nannying since I hit middle school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Coloring, play-dough, crafts, building (legos, blocks), parks, picnics, walks, chalk, forts, baking, nature centers, trampolines, scavenger hunts, read, bowl, swim, sing, dance, and learn.

My experience with special needs children...

We had regulars at our daycare with special needs. In our training we had to take courses on understanding and looking after children with autism and down syndrome.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was on a walk with the kids I nannied back in 2018 and we found a painting someone threw away on the street. We took it home, cleaned it, and painted right on top of it making it a work of our own! It was so fun turning someone else's trash into treasure.
