My 12 year old son is a really good helper but needs to be nudged often. They all love video games and don't struggle with school work, but do with keeping things clean and doing their chores, etc. which is what I often need help with. Responsibilities include some overnights as I am a writer who sometimes travels for tour or teaching responsibilities. Other hours would include helping in mornings for school (7-10) or nights when I'm teaching (typically 6-9:30, though 8 is their bed time).
