A little bit about us

Family of 6 looking for support within our home with a 3y outspoken babygirl, 4y sweet rough and tumble little boy, 6y highly intelligent athletic adorable special needs boy, and 8y old best big brother great helper and extremely intelligent child.

My wife stayed at home full time and is now reentering the workforce while I work as a train conductor and we need to establish our village. The 8y/o will be attending summer camp Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm, so we’d like someone who is capable of engaging the other younger children, and one child with special needs*.

Babygirl 3y and the special needs 6y are not yet fully potty trained. Our special needs kiddo will be starting school in August so any help with his basic self care and communication is greatly appreciated.

We've struggled with routines over the years, and are open to learning.

We are seeking an experienced nanny with the ability to help with creating and implementing a good nighttime routine.
Light meal prep would be great, but my wife loves to cook!

Light housekeeping, mainly picking up behind the children, toys and books and such.

Help for occasional/weekly date nights.
We just need to get a good structure and system where the home can flow better.

Hours: Monday to Wednesday 3-8pm, Saturday 3-6:30pm
*one date night a week 2-5 hrs discussed a head of time*

Types of Nanny Jobs and Nanny Responsibilities in Pennsylvania

Before you start looking for a nanny job, it's essential to learn about the different types of nannies and how they compare to each other so that you make sure you’re looking for the right opportunities.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Pennsylvania. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions, it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.

If you're exploring other types of jobs beyond nanny positions, consider looking into cleaning jobs, pet sitting jobs, luxury fashion jobs, or elder care jobs.
