A little bit about us

We are seeking a caring and dedicated respite caregiver for our sweet and energetic 6-year-old boy in Fairport, NY. Our oldest son is a very active, happy boy who is autistic, has ADHD, and is non-verbal. This position would include playing and providing supervision while we are at home to assist with increased engagement and safety as well as providing supervision and 1:1 support while we are out in the community as a family. We are a family of 5 with 3 boys (ages 2, 4, and 6) and as a family we enjoy being outside, going hiking and to playgrounds on the weekends, going to the beach when the weather is nice, and going to community events. We would love to do even more activities (the zoo, Seabreeze, the Strong Museum of Play, etc.) with the support of a respite caregiver. In order for our son to be successful at these outings we need extra eyes and hands to supervise him and provide the care and attention he may additionally need (help with staying with us as a family, waiting in lines, etc.). We are looking for someone to be with us for some after school hours, weekend hours for family outings in the community, and extra hours during summer and school breaks.
