A little bit about us

We have two happy, energetic girls: Rowan (6) and Mara (3).

Rowan is an energetic, expressive, and loving almost first-grader. She is very active and loves to move her body, and is unusually extroverted - she is always trying to make new friends or see what other people are doing. She loves dance class, swimming, and spinning around just for fun. She is increasingly interested in reading, as well. She has some speech impediment and stuttering, but is quite understandable. Most of all, Rowan is extremely affectionate and is always giving hugs to family, friends, and sometimes strangers.

Mara is very curious and busy, and moves fast! She is also very talkative, and loves to sing. She's very interested in imitating grown-ups and big kids and is determined to be helpful. She is a little slower to warm up to new people, but is overall a very happy and bubbly kid.

Our primary goal is to have someone to help look after the girls in the afternoons, until just before bed (6:30 or 7:00), at least Monday - Thursday, though Friday would also be welcome.

Rowan will be in first grade, a 5-minute walk from home. Ideally, a nanny could pick her up from school (3:30 most days, 2:30 on Wednesdays) and hang out with her until we get home with Mara at about 5, and then playing with both girls until dinner time.
