A little bit about us

Seeking a compassionate caregiver for my sweet 12-year-old son with severe autism.

This is a part-time position with a minimum of 18 hours per week (6-hour shifts). Preferred days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, along with occasional “date nights,” though additional hours may be available and flexibility is possible for the right fit.

He is a joyful, bright, and affectionate child with a love of reading and spelling, foreign languages, and music. While he is verbal and communicates in his own unique way, he does require constant supervision. The primary focus of this role is supporting him in developing life skills that encourage greater independence.

We are looking for someone who hopes to become part of our family and build a long-term relationship. Patience, warmth, reliability, and a genuine love for children are essential, as he thrives on routine and takes time to feel comfortable with new people.

This is a deeply rewarding opportunity for the right person. Applicants must be comfortable working through our respite care provider. Experience with autism or special needs is preferred, but not required for the right person.
