A little bit about us

After-School Support for 2nd & 7th Grader — Staten Island

We're looking for someone to be with our two children (8 and 12) after school until around 6:30, most days. If you're a teacher, para, or college student looking for a way to put your afternoons to good use, this could be a great fit — the hours line up with your school day, and the work is right in your wheelhouse.

The core of it: homework help and real study habits, not just supervision. We want someone who can sit with our 2nd grader on reading and basics, and help our 7th grader build the organizational skills middle school demands. Some days that means shuttling to practice or an activity. On lighter days, we're open to some light housework or getting dinner started.

We're flexible on exact schedule and want to build it together with whoever we hire. What matters most is that you're organized and communicate well. My wife and I both work from home most days, though we're out of the house at least two days a week, so reliability matters.
