Family of 5 seeking a warm, capable nanny to assist stay-at-home mom on weekday afternoons, 3-5 days per week. We have 3 kids: boys ages 5 and 3 and a newborn girl. You'd care for the baby solo while I do school pickup, then work alongside me through the afternoon: after-school snacks and decompression for the boys, help with the baby during the afternoon/evening hours, and getting dinner on the table. We're looking for someone calm and confident with preschool/kindergarten age-kids, ideally with a background (or degree in progress) in early childhood education, child psychology, pediatric OT, nursing, or similar. Newborn experience required. Must be comfortable with dogs. $27-32 hr depending on experience. We're metro and bus accessible. I am looking for assistance after school from around 3 pm to 8 pm two to three days a week, depending on my schedule. Some driving will be required but I can supply a car. At this time, we believe we need help for about 3-4 months starting in mid-March, but are very open to extending. We are looking for someone who is fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID. We are very cautious with social distancing and are looking for someone who is the same.
Our perfect candidate has experience watching infants, and is a big fan of going on walks, reading books, and tummy time. :). We're also looking for someone who is pet-friendly -- we have a 2 year-old dachshund who sometimes enjoys being near his baby brother. :)
