We're a loving family looking to build a small bench of wonderful backup nannies and babysitters to care for our young child. We have a fantastic full-time nanny, and we're hoping to find a few warm, dependable, and experienced people we can call on when she takes PTO or sick time, and for occasional date nights and outings.
On weekday coverage days, we'd love someone who enjoys getting outside for walks and time in the neighborhood, while also being happy to spend slower days playing and hanging out at home. For evenings, it's usually a relaxed routine of dinner, play, and bedtime. We value open communication and want you to feel comfortable bringing your own experience, ideas, and personality.
Weekday coverage is typically 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility, and is usually planned in advance for PTO, with occasional shorter notice for sick days. She is a very enthusiastic eater and loves to be cuddled. Once she's fed, has a clean diaper, and has been burped, she's usually a very sweet and happy little angel.
As my husband and I prepare to return to work after my maternity leave, we're looking for someone with experience caring for young infants who is patient, gentle, loving, and dependable.
The primary responsibilities would include helping us care for our daughter, such as feeding her, changing diapers, soothing and comforting her, and assisting with her daily routine whenever we need an extra hand. Responsibilities: provide structured, age-appropriate learning and social activities both in and out of home for infant-toddler, minimal house-related responsibilities such as cleaning up after child’s meals, playtimes, etc., attending some child appointments when necessary
Ideal Nanny Experience/Qualifications: background in child education and/or care, highly-organized, strong communication and planning skills
Other notes: Must be ok with 2 medium-sized friendly dogs (no pet care required), non-smoking preferred
