A little bit about us

Hi! I’m currently working from home and looking for a reliable, caring part-time nanny to help with my child, Aspen. As I transition into this new work setup, I’m not yet sure how time-consuming it will be, so I’m hoping for someone who can offer some flexibility in scheduling at first.

Aspen is curious, energetic, and loves to learn! She enjoys reading books, playing outside, doing creative activities, and exploring new things. I’m looking for someone who is engaging, patient, and nurturing—someone who will actively play and participate in her day, not just supervise.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with toddlers and prefers a warm, home-based environment. Experience is appreciated, and a genuine love for children is a must!

We are a Japanese-English bilingual family and follow Montessori style, encouraging a mix of interactive and independent play, outdoor play, and participation in household tasks. We value healthy eating and limit sugar intake (besides fruit), so we are looking for someone comfortable in the kitchen to help with light cooking and meal prep. We don't allow scheduled screen time and minimize smart phone use in front of our son -- we'd like someone to be fully "present" with him. We use primarily gentle parenting methods while holding clear boundaries -- limited punishment, rather natural or necessary consequences with explanation. We are very cautious about COVID, flu, etc. and would like the nanny to be fully vaccinated and okay with masking when needed. Our son is very active, friendly, talkative, loves music and playing outside.
