Hi, we’re new to the area with an 8 month old daughter. Seeking about 25 hours per week of childcare. Schedule will most likely be 2pm-7pm Sunday through Thursday. We are a Japanese-English bilingual family and follow Montessori style, encouraging a mix of interactive and independent play, outdoor play, and participation in household tasks. We value healthy eating and limit sugar intake (besides fruit), so we are looking for someone comfortable in the kitchen to help with light cooking and meal prep. We don't allow scheduled screen time and minimize smart phone use in front of our son -- we'd like someone to be fully "present" with him. We use primarily gentle parenting methods while holding clear boundaries -- limited punishment, rather natural or necessary consequences with explanation. We are very cautious about COVID, flu, etc. and would like the nanny to be fully vaccinated and okay with masking when needed. Our son is very active, friendly, talkative, loves music and playing outside.
