Full-Time Nanny Job: The Teal Family with 2 Children
We live in the redwoods with our 7-month-old and 3-year-old, a short walk from town and about a 25-minute drive from San Francisco. We’re looking for a full-time nanny who can handle both kids, but will generally be with them one-on-one. We would appreciate someone good-natured, flexible and fun, who is game to travel and is happy to read many, many books a week to our toddler. We would like to work with someone who can model good self-regulation, manners, and kindness. Finding someone who is easy to be around feels most important.
Work hours can be discussed, but we are thinking 40 hrs a week.
Responsibilities include:
- pickup from school and driving to/from activities
- meal prep for the kids
- laundry for the kids
- light housekeeping when time allows (tidying the kitchen and play spaces)
- packing and organizing for the kids
- long and short-term travel
Please have:
- a license (and please be a confident driver)
- a valid passport
We prefer to work with a contract and payroll. We will provide PTO.

Our daughter is almost 3 1/2 years old and is an absolute joy to be with. She has lots of energy, a sense of humor, and loves to play with her toys and friends. Currently attending preschool and we are looking for a nanny to live in with us part or full-time.
Her grandmother has been her caretaker up until now and we are both working parents who are looking for a responsible loving nanny to be part of our family and household.
We live in a beautiful home on Mount Tamalpais, and you would have a large nanny flat that you will be staying in that was just remodeled and features its own kitchen.
The schedule can be discussed and negotiated so it works. Our daughter goes to preschool five days a week half day so we need somebody to help with that schedule.

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Kauhanen Family with 1 Child
We both work in the environmental space. I work on reducing green house gasses and my husband uses remote sensing to address environmental issues in the bay area (mainly wetland and urban greening work). We met in college at Stanford and have moved up from SF to Marin during the Covid pandemic. We are expecting in May 2023 and are trying to be prepared for childcare when we need it. We are assuming we'll need 40/week and haven't yet fully figured out all our needs.
