Hi :) We are looking for some help in caring for our 3 year old son. We had a wonderful experience with our previous nanny who had been with us since he was an infant, but she recently moved on to focus solely on caring for newborns/infants consistent with her long term career goals. We were so sad to part ways with her as she had truly become family. However, we are committed to finding someone who is similarly knowledgeable about and has a passion for child development, someone who will foster his imagination, support his social/emotional development, provide guided structure and space for him to continue discovering who he is as a person; someone not just to play with him but who is committed to helping shape him into the adult we'll want him to become. Looking for two 10 hour days per week. Spanish speaking and experience with immersion/language teaching is a plus!

Hello! I will be living with my 6 year daughter in Southport CT for the summer and need a nanny/light house keeper from late June to late August. My daughter will be at camp from 8:35am to 1pm. Looking for someone occasionally be able to to supplement my mother in law 1 day a week ideally 830-5pm on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. We use daycare on Thursdays and Fridays. We also need a consistent date night / weekend help sitter.

We parent via the RIE method so a plus if you are familiar with Janet landsbury and gentle parenting such as Dr. Becky and “no bad kids.”. We acknowledge our children’s feelings instead of saying “don’t cry / you’re fine” we empathize with them and expect our caregiver to do the same. We are also working on implementing independent sleep skills for naps.
We can give you our current baby sitter’s info. As a reference.
