General contractor looking for childcare on days that time is split between myself and mom.
Part-Time Nanny Job: The Kuniak Family with 2 Children
My husband and I work from home. He is an assistant professor for a university with an online presence. He also owns a local non-profit community center in town. I am a mental health counselor and adjunct faculty. I work part-time. We would benefit from two days a week for 5-6 hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We have some wiggle room and would negotiate this with the right candidate. Our oldest is in preschool 9am-12pm M-F. Next school year, the oldest will be in all day kindergarten, and the youngest will be attending the preschool program, so a 12pm start would be best. There is room to discuss more hours if the right candidate is interested, but we cannot accommodate full-time. A once or twice a month evening/weekend date night would also be a nice bonus if the candidate was open to this.
Job responsibilities: We want someone interested in doing things related to the kids. Preparing their meals (never ours, just for the kids), spot treating laundry (I do their laundry but some proactive help with stains is useful), bathing if necessary, changing them, toileting and/or diapering needs, keeping them safe, playing with them, making sure they clean up their belongings in an orderly fashion, and all other general care items. Feel free to ask questions. Even though we would be providing transportation for the children, we would like someone that can drive in an emergency, so a driver’s license is required. There is a strong preference for someone who has their own vehicle, and it is required to have transportation to and from work. If there were a complication, we try to be flexible, but we cannot provide consistent transportation. I was once a nanny while in graduate school, so I try to be very approachable (my husband is approachable as well). We want you to feel comfortable in our home, with us, and with our children. We do have two cats and a dog. All are friendly, but we like to let people know. Last, First Aid and CPR are not required, but a bonus.

Part-Time Nanny Job: The Goodnight Family with 3 Children
Three kids, ages 8, 3 and 1. Needing help for two full time working RN parents. Days during the week may vary but may need assistance anywhere from 6AM to 8PM depending on schedules during the week. Husband and I try to work opposite days to need not as much childcare during the week. We recently moved from the southwest and no longer have family support so starting our search to find someone to help.
