Family of 5 seeking a warm, capable nanny to assist stay-at-home mom on weekday afternoons, 3-5 days per week. We have 3 kids: boys ages 5 and 3 and a newborn girl. You'd care for the baby solo while I do school pickup, then work alongside me through the afternoon: after-school snacks and decompression for the boys, help with the baby during the afternoon/evening hours, and getting dinner on the table. We're looking for someone calm and confident with preschool/kindergarten age-kids, ideally with a background (or degree in progress) in early childhood education, child psychology, pediatric OT, nursing, or similar. Newborn experience required. Must be comfortable with dogs. $27-32 hr depending on experience. We're metro and bus accessible. We'd ideally like to nanny share with someone who lives close to us (Congress Heights, SE DC), but would be willing to also share with a family in Capitol Hill (that's where our 2nd grade daughter attends school). We are looking for a full-time nanny (roughly 830-530) who has strong experience with infants and their developmental needs (developmentally appropriate games, milestones, proponent of early literacy, provides structure and routines, and is very caring and compassionate).
