We're a family in Ivy Hill, Oakland, looking for a warm, reliable bilingual (English/Spanish) occasional babysitter for our happy 18-month-old. We'd love someone who enjoys reading, singing, outdoor walks, and play-based learning, and who naturally incorporates Spanish into everyday activities. We're looking for help 1-2 mornings or afternoons per week for 2-3 hours at a time, with the possibility of occasional evening babysitting. CPR certification, toddler experience, references, and reliable transportation are preferred.

Another family and I have made the tough decision to not return to our wonderful RIE based daycare due to COVID-19 risks. Our daughters are both 22 months, and we are looking for a nanny share until they reach pre-school age (a year long commitment if it works out!). We are looking for 30-40 hours a week at one house, someone with their own car. Our priorities are finding a good fit and--in this moment-- someone who is can and wants to practice rigorous social distancing.

About us: My husband and I live in Rockridge, Oakland with our two kids - Niko who is 3 years old and Mia who is 6 weeks old. I am on parental leave until early September and my husband is working from home right now.
What we are looking for: We need part time care primarily for our toddler (3 years), with occasional hours for our infant (6 weeks) as well. For right now, we are looking for approximately 25 hours a week (something like 9am-2pm daily but flexible). Occasional weekend availability is nice to have. Additional responsibilities: We’d ideally like to find a nanny who can do light housekeeping (e.g. laundry, putting away dishes, tidying up) and meal prep for dinner. Nice to have is a drivers license so you can go to parks (we have a car you can use if needed).
