A little bit about us

We are looking for an energetic and positive individual to support our two boys at our house in Herndon, VA, aged 6 and 9 through their school day - Monday through Thursday, about 9-4. We would like someone who can help facilitate and engage them on their school work, both virtually with the class and individually on their own. We also need the individual to engage them in physical activity (exercise), games, and other activities to stimulate their minds in non academic ways as well. Our younger son requires some patience, as he has a learning disability and needs help focusing at times. Both boys are energetic and fun loving; with a passion for music, art projects, being goofy, and playing with our dog. We would like someone who is serious about following guidelines about covid in their personal lives and with us.

Both parents normally work from home so we would be available for questions and support. The ideal candidate is patient, nurturing, fun, and responsible, and also flexible with their schedule as our needs would vary and may come up urgently (i.e. one of the kids wakes up sick on a school day).
