Part-Time Nanny Job: The Everhart Family with 1 Child
Part Time Nanny needed for 9 month old daughter while we work from home
Start: May 26th-June 1 (flexible)
Schedule: The position follows a rotating two-week schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Week 2: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
8:30am-3:30 pm
Both parents work from home and are looking for someone who can confidently step in and take the lead during the day. We are hoping to find a nanny who is naturally engaging, comfortable getting on the floor to play, talking and interacting throughout the day, and truly enjoys being an active part of a child’s routine. This is not a role where someone will be hands off, but rather someone who is fully present and involved. We value a screen free environment and appreciate a nanny who understands how to balance interactive play with encouraging independence as our daughter grows. Above all, we are looking for someone who feels like a natural fit in our home.
The ideal nanny is:
• Energetic, engaging, and able to keep up with a very active infant
• Naturally interactive and enjoys being present, playful, and involved
• Knowledgeable or interested in child development and milestones
• Aligned with a Montessori-inspired, child-led approach
• Comfortable encouraging independent play while staying engaged
• Proactive and confident taking initiative throughout the day
• Warm, positive, and easy to communicate with
• Comfortable working in a home where parents are present
Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus but not required
Household Notes
• Both parents work from home
• Large outdoor space for play and exploration
• One friendly Australian Shepherd (no pet care required)
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of childcare experience
• Infant experience required
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Up-to-date vaccinations (TDAP, MMR, COVID, Flu required)
• Fluent in English
• Clear background check and driving record

Part-Time Nanny Job: The Goeke Family with 1 Child
Hi! We're a Mission Valley family looking for a warm, reliable caregiver for our baby girl, who'll be 6 months old when care starts July 1. We're open to either a nanny share (full-time M–F, 8:00–4:30, costs split with another family) or a part-time solo nanny (about 3 days/week, 8:00–4:30, since my wife and mother in law will cover the other days).
Day-to-day would be lots of warm, hands-on play — tummy time, stroller walks, reading, songs — plus naps, bottles, and easing into solids. Light tidying around baby stuff (bottles, toys, her laundry, nursery) is appreciated, but no deep cleaning. We also have a tiny, super gentle mini dachshund who mostly naps, so being comfortable around a small friendly dog is a must.
We're easygoing, communicative parents hoping to find a great long-term fit, and we believe in fair pay, guaranteed hours, and PTO. If you're a nanny interested in either setup — or another local family curious about sharing — we'd love to hear from you!
