Family of 5 seeking a warm, capable nanny to assist stay-at-home mom on weekday afternoons, 3-5 days per week. We have 3 kids: boys ages 5 and 3 and a newborn girl. You'd care for the baby solo while I do school pickup, then work alongside me through the afternoon: after-school snacks and decompression for the boys, help with the baby during the afternoon/evening hours, and getting dinner on the table. We're looking for someone calm and confident with preschool/kindergarten age-kids, ideally with a background (or degree in progress) in early childhood education, child psychology, pediatric OT, nursing, or similar. Newborn experience required. Must be comfortable with dogs. $27-32 hr depending on experience. We're metro and bus accessible. I have a 13 year old daughter and an 8 year old son. We also have a one year old Irish setter. I am looking for assistance after school from around 3 pm to 8 pm two to three days a week, depending on my schedule. Some driving will be required but I can supply a car. We live in NE DC. Been in Brookland 10+ years. Our LO will be 11 months in a few weeks. Mom and dad have been working from home since the start of the pandemic with baby in the house. He has never been in daycare and we are taking all the necessary precautions to do our part in keeping our family and community COVID free. Looking for a part-time caregiver (3 to 4 days a week from 9am-5:15pm) for the next three months and can revisit. We have a 4-legged family member in the home as well, so preferably someone who is comfortable with dogs- although no care expected for our pup.
