Hello, we are looking for after-school care for our 17-year-old daughter with profound autism. One of our caregivers can’t do as many hours anymore. The shifts would be from 4 pm to 6:30 pm on school days and 12:00 noon to 6:30 pm on off-school days. We only need care during weekdays.
The shifts consist of picking her up at school at 4 pm on school days and picking her up from therapies at noon on off-school days and then keeping her safe and happy at home until the parents come home.
We are flexible with the varying schedules of our care staff.
She is very easy to care for, toilet-trained, and able to communicate. She keeps herself busy watching her ipads.
Her care is funded by a state program that Colorado Family Caregivers (CFC) administers, so the care staff would need to become CFC’s employee. CFC pays $23 per hour. The onboarding, background check, CPR class (candidate pays), and timesheet training are all online.
Once you are CFC’s employee, if you need more hours than we can provide, I can announce your availability to the other families in my local special needs parenting groups, if you choose.
