Babysitter Job: The Jones Family with 1 Child
Seeking a reliable, caring nanny for my 8-month-old son. I am a travel nurse with a variable schedule (1 to 3 days per week, Monday–Sunday). Workdays change weekly, but shifts are provided in advance.
Schedule & Hours
Weekday Evenings: ~6:00 PM – 8:15 PM
Pick up baby from daycare by 6:00 PM (earlier pick-up is fine) and bring him home.
Complete bedtime routine and put him to sleep by 7:00 PM.
Stay at home until I return (by 8:15 PM at the latest).
Weekend Days (Sat/Sun): 6:15 AM – 8:15 PM
Full-day infant care at home when scheduled.
Depending on my shift schedule, care will be 1 to 3 days per week (e.g., 3 weekday evenings, or 1 weekday evening plus weekend days).
Key Responsibilities
Safe transportation from daycare to home on weekdays.
Evening routine: feeding, bedtime prep, and putting baby down by 7:00 PM.
Complete infant care on weekend shifts (meals, naps, playtime, diapering).
Requirements
Proven infant care experience.
Valid driver’s license, safe vehicle, and clean driving record.
CPR/First Aid certified.
Background check and reliable references required.
Flexibility with a weekly rotating schedule.

We are looking for an occasional babysitter to watch our two children so we can have a date night every once in a while. Could be anywhere from 2-5 hours at a time depending on what we have planned. Would prefer someone with lots of experience and first aid training. Would prefer someone with some type of post high school education. Would need to be pet friendly as we have a friendly lab and a cat. Wouldn't require any cooking or transportation if the kids. Just come over watch the kids, have us order you guys a pizza or whatever is clever and make sure no one sets the house on fire lol Would require changing pull ups as our 3 year old boy is not yet potty trained. Would ask for a dinner or other type of initial meeting where the five of us could get together and see how we feel. We’re a patriotic family & are Christians. You should know this so you are aware of the type of home dynamic & space you will be working in. My boy is the easiest baby I’ve ever cared for & I’ve cared for kids since I was 10 years old. He is not allowed to watch tv or any electronics so it is important that you are versed in playing & teaching during his wake hours. No cleaning is required, other than bottles to be washed for him to feed; he has not started table food yet. We will wait until he is physically matured enough to sit on his own without support. My husband is a retired Marine Corp Veteran & he will be present full time on most days to help & if baby needs time to get used to his new friend (sitter). Thank you!
