A little bit about us

We are friendly entrepreneurs who work from home on a rural piece of beautiful property in Pine Plains, NY. We moved up here full time from Brooklyn right before Covid (great timing!) we're looking for afternoon help, from 11:30 to 4:30 or 5 3 weekdays a week, and then possibly one weekend afternoon per week, too. My sweet kid Shep needs a lift home from school at 11:30 (Montessori at the Old Schoolhouse in Red Hook) and then lunch and nap. That's about a 25 minute drive. He's going through a phase where he needs structure: we're working on rules, and putting toys and books away after using them. He loooooves reading books and playing with cars and trucks - he also loves being outside and is getting ready to master the scooter. You'd be around for naps (1-3ish) so that time might be well spent doing Shep's laundry, tidying up toys, and cleaning up after lunch. As well as prepping something fun to do after wake-up - either a trip to the library, a playground, or a craft or baking project? He's a funny, smart kid with such a loving heart. We are pretty burnt out after the pandemic year and are looking for a really reliable, rock-solid person to help our family feel secure and supported since we don't have family to help us in our immediate area.
