Live-In Part-Time Nanny Job: The Tankersley Family with 1 Child
We are looking for a babysitter/nanny for our 2 year old daughter. We also have a son that is 19 months younger.
We currently need someone to watch our daughter 1-3 times a week, typically during the day. Then periodically a date night and whatnot.
We have dogs and cats, so must be okay with that. Would prefer someone that is interactive with our children, not just turn on the tv the whole time. Someone that they can be friends with and play with. Someone who can be apart of the family.
Some qualifications we can be lenient on:
16 - 30 years old. (Age seems appropriate with children - especially energy levels, playing, and needs being met.)

Looking for someone who genuinely connects with my daughter, Birkley Jo! She is 18 months, very intelligent, curious & active. She LOVES being outside, music/dancing, water & anything educational (she loves learning). She has been going to daycare for almost a year, but the last 2 months she has progressively gotten more upset while being there. I think it is separation anxiety or just the environment, but not sure. She does VERY well with other children! We do have 1 dog, Juno. He is 11 years old & very relaxed/friendly. I’m a Realtor so my hours each week fluctuate. I need someone flexible & reliable. Some days I won’t need you. Other days I could need you for 8 hours. I will always let you know before hand on what hours you’ll be needed. I also would like someone who has experience & is knowledgeable in health & safety. CPR certified is a plus! Own transportation is needed as well.

These situations will be few, but they do happen. What I’ve done in the past is to have someone “on call” the nights that I am on call. You may get paid to sleep, you may get woken up at 2am to hurry over here. You may stay until 10pm and then get called back at 1am. The schedule is chaotic and will require some weekends. Babies can come at anytime 😬.
I generally pay $15/hr.
$50 to be “on call,” plus additional $15/hr if called in.
LONGER term:
I’ll be looking for more of a part time nanny/housekeeper. Someone to pick up/put away groceries, some laundry, clean, etc. This wouldn’t be hourly, but would negotiate number of days per week, duties done, etc. to come up with a weekly rate.
