Full-Time Nanny Job: The Hummer Family with 3 Children
We’re a fun, high-energy Naples family looking for a long-term career nanny for our three kids: 3 years, 1 year and 1 month. Our 3-year-old is in preschool weekdays 8:00-3:15, so most of your day is with the baby and toddler.
We’re not looking for a babysitter. We want a partner who will help our kids learn, explore and grow, and who enjoys it. Mom is home most days, so you’ll work closely with her. For the right person, the role can grow to include some house manager duties, but childcare always comes first.
What you’ll do:
Full-time care for a 1-year-old and a newborn: bottles, formula prep, naps, diapering, play and outings
Age-appropriate learning: early literacy, language, music, motor skills, early math, outdoor play
Help shape our approach to early learning. We’re open to your ideas.
Daily updates on feeding, naps, activities and milestones
Care for our 3-year-old after preschool
Whole-food meals for the kids, little to no processed food
Family laundry (mostly kids’), tidying, kitchen and dishes
Possible preschool driving (clean record required)
No screen time for the younger two
Who we’re looking for:
Career nanny experience, especially with infants
Early childhood education background
Norland or similar nanny training is a big plus
CPR/first aid, references, background check
Up-to-date Tdap and flu vaccines (newborn at home)
Non-smoker preferred; second language or sign language a plus
Warm, energetic, patient and fun to be around
Schedule:
M-F, about 7am-5pm (50 hrs/week). Optional evenings, weekends, overnights and travel with advance notice. Start ASAP; we hope for several years.
Pay:
$60K-$100K/year based on experience, W-2, for a guaranteed 50-hour week including overtime. We’re open to more for formally trained candidates with extensive experience. PTO and paid holidays expected.

We have a very friendly, but excitable Beagle named Dixie that would just require the occasional bathroom break.
When you babysit on a date night, focus is on the kids offering dinner, playing dressing them for bed time reading etc.
Once kids are in bed, some light house work would be required like; dishes, laundry resetting the house for the next day.
If we like to move forward together:
We will require at least 3 previous references (not from your cousins or your aunt, but from your previous employer of a family you worked for only).
Background check will be required as well.
English speaking.

The option to help with additional things around the house to add on more hours is always available. We need someone at at least from 3-6pm Monday through Friday. I would love someone who would like extra hours and help with other household things before getting the kids from school, however it’s not a requirement.
