A little bit about us

I'm a work from home mom needing part time care as needed while I have in person meetings/appointments. My youngest is two and has severe food allergies. I have two older children who are mostly in school. Common needs are Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings with more hours sprinkled in as needed. Need Thursday afternoon coverage beginning immediately and the schedule for summer is flexible. Willing to discuss pay and what is competitive. Let's chat! Thanks!

A little bit about us

Searching for a nanny for our three kids to help us Monday through Thursday from 2 pm - 5 pm and occasionally for Fridays, events, date nights, etc. This schedule would start August 24th, 2026. If someone is available starting earlier in August, it would be great to start to come occasionally to get to know the kids!

Looking for someone to also help with:
Weekly grocery shopping and putting groceries away, laundry and putting clothes away, walking our golden retriever, and loading and unloading the dishwasher. Additionally, other similar household tasks as outlined.

The first hour would be household tasks, then this person would pick up our youngest from preschool, then our older two kids at 3:45. They would do homework, activities, etc until 5 pm.

Hours would not be guaranteed since our schedules are flexible, but we could make up the hours on other days.

Before you start looking for a nanny job, it's essential to learn about the different types of nannies and how they compare to each other so that you make sure you’re looking for the right opportunities.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Kansas. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions, it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.
