A little bit about us

We have four children - two 9 year old girls, a 2 year old girl, and a 6 month old boy. The older girls are only with us half the time. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays and need someone to watch the kids while I work, but I'm able to help with meal prep, nap time, and anything else as long as I'm not in a meeting. We also need help one day a week when I am in the office (grandparents watch the kids two days a week). The third day would currently be Wednesday, but we can be flexible if a Tuesday or Thursday would work better with a nanny's schedule. The hours would generally be 8-4:30, but there are opportunities for additional hours if interested in babysitting for our date nights (usually dinner on Wednesdays and one night every other weekend - always when the older two are with their mom). We would love to find someone long-term but are open to applicants who are only interested in a summer position.

A little bit about us

Hello! We are a duel military household and are about to become a single parent household for a while. My son is 18 months old. He is rambunctious and so sweet. He is a pretty easy kids. Right now he loves animals, sports balls, and reading. We just need someone to love him well and help us out. You would be able to care for our son Monday-Friday 6:45 am - 5:30 pm. We would love someone that would be able to help around the house some and has their own transportation.

Types of Nanny Jobs and Nanny Responsibilities in Kentucky

Before you start looking for a nanny job, it's essential to learn about the different types of nannies and how they compare to each other so that you make sure you’re looking for the right opportunities.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Kentucky. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions, it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.
