A little bit about me
I live in NJ when I am not in school, there I worked as a senior camp counselor for a year at Eagle’s Landing Day Camp overseeing a group of 11-12 year old girls. Prior to this, I helped at Enchanted Garden Daycare in Long Island, a family member operates this place so I would help out with the children. I love working with children as I feel that the experiences they go through during these important developmental years shape them for the rest of their lives, so helping them grow and learn makes me happy.
I am able to prepare meals that follow dietary restrictions, help with homework in different subjects, do light house cleaning, and run errands. When I am not in school or working I love to read, watch movies, and crochet.

A little bit about me
I have studied to be a flight attendant. I speak English and Portuguese. I love learning new languages!
During my free time I love to exercise, do some yoga/meditation, go to the closest (or not that close) city, and explore it with friends but I also enjoy chilling and being at home.
About my experience with kids, I cared for babies, Toddlers (Currently I am an Au Pair taking care of a 2-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl), and also older kids.
I drive every day as a duty and during my time off, I’m also a strong swimmer.

How to Hire a Bilingual Nanny in Washington, DC
Nanny Lane helps you find a bilingual nanny in Washington, DC who can care for your children in more than one language.
We offer nanny services including background checks, Agency, and nanny payroll. Start by posting a profile with a job description, and soon you can start connecting with nannies who fit your family.
What Is a Bilingual Nanny?
A bilingual nanny speaks English and at least one other language, such as Spanish, French, Mandarin, or Portuguese, and uses both with the children. Some families want a native speaker to introduce a second language from an early age, and others need a nanny who can communicate with a relative or care for a child who speaks another language at home.
Common Responsibilities of Bilingual Nannies in Washington, DC
A bilingual nanny handles the usual childcare tasks, such as meals, play, outings, and routines, while speaking the second language during everyday activities. Many also read stories, sing songs, and play games in that language, so children pick it up naturally rather than from flashcards.
What to Consider Before You Hire
Decide how much of the day you want in the second language and how fluent the nanny needs to be. Ask about their background in the language and any experience helping children learn it. Fluency varies, so it helps to have part of the interview in the language. If you need a specific language, mention it in your job description so nannies can find you.
Bilingual Nanny Interview Questions
Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:
- Which languages do you speak, and how did you learn them?
- How would you use the second language with my children during the day?
- Have you helped children learn or keep up a second language before?
- Are you comfortable speaking only in that language for part of the day?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR?
At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
