A little bit about me
My name is Gabriela, and I’m currently seeking a weekend-only babysitting position. I have direct experience working with children on the autism spectrum through my current role as a Behavioral Technician, where I use ABA techniques to support skill development. I’ve also worked in a classroom setting at Spectrum 360, collaborating with teams and families to provide consistent care.
I’m available Saturdays and Sundays, have my own transportation, and can confidently follow behavior plans or work alongside therapists. I’m bilingual (English/Spanish), reliable, and passionate about structured, compassionate care. I’m also finishing my psychology degree at Rutgers University and have served as a caregiver and supervisor at the YMCA.

A little bit about me
I've been living here in America for two years.
I studied in Italy Psychology and child education, I volunteered in hospitals for children with cancer for 3 years. I worked several times as a baby sitter in Italy.
here in america I worked for one month in an Italian day care with children from 1 to 4 years and from 5 to 7 years. I love children and I have so much patience, I like to play and teach, but also to learn because with the children you always learn something new.
I do not speak English perfectly, I studied it for a year, but I did the basic course. I speak Italian perfectly which is my first language (I have also taught Italian in a school for children and adults) and I speak Spanish.

How to Hire a Bilingual Nanny in Plainfield, NJ
Nanny Lane helps you find a bilingual nanny in Plainfield, NJ who can care for your children in more than one language.
We offer nanny services including background checks, Agency, and nanny payroll. Start by posting a profile with a job description, and soon you can start connecting with nannies who fit your family.
What Is a Bilingual Nanny?
A bilingual nanny speaks English and at least one other language, such as Spanish, French, Mandarin, or Portuguese, and uses both with the children. Some families want a native speaker to introduce a second language from an early age, and others need a nanny who can communicate with a relative or care for a child who speaks another language at home.
Common Responsibilities of Bilingual Nannies in Plainfield, NJ
A bilingual nanny handles the usual childcare tasks, such as meals, play, outings, and routines, while speaking the second language during everyday activities. Many also read stories, sing songs, and play games in that language, so children pick it up naturally rather than from flashcards.
What to Consider Before You Hire
Decide how much of the day you want in the second language and how fluent the nanny needs to be. Ask about their background in the language and any experience helping children learn it. Fluency varies, so it helps to have part of the interview in the language. If you need a specific language, mention it in your job description so nannies can find you.
Bilingual Nanny Interview Questions
Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:
- Which languages do you speak, and how did you learn them?
- How would you use the second language with my children during the day?
- Have you helped children learn or keep up a second language before?
- Are you comfortable speaking only in that language for part of the day?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR?
At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
