A little bit about us

Hello, My name is Mahogany BullockI. I work for CPS and my husband works for a Splicing company. We have 3 wonderful children. Arcell IV (8), Sebastian (7), and Aubrey (21 months). We recently moved to Texas from California in August of last year. My sons attended school in Copperas Cove. We are looking for someone to watch our daughter throughout the day and pick up the older two from school. One of my sons has tutoring on Monday and one has tutoring on Thursdays. The times that my husband and I get off can vary. I am normally off by 5 and he can get off any time between 5-8pm sometimes later. I would love to work with someone who is fluent in Spanish. I would love for my daughter to learn Spanish.

A little bit about us

Looking for a dependable mother's helper/nanny for our two boys (ages 4 and 1). I will be deployed and my husband works nights, so he will be sleeping during the morning/daytime. We need an extra set of hands to run the morning routine and lighten his load.

Primary duties are caring for our 1-year-old, walking our 4-year-old across the street to Pre-K, and helping with light meal prep/cooking and basic tidying. We are looking for 3–5 days a week, roughly 3–6 hours a day with a preference for morning hours, but we are very flexible and can build the schedule around your availability.

Occasional weekend date-night sitting in the future would be a huge plus. We have one self-sufficient cat (zero care needed, just an FYI for allergies). Experience with toddlers and CPR/First Aid preferred. Y si hablan español, aún mejor! Me está costando bastante exponer mis hijos al idioma!

What Are Bilingual Nanny Jobs?

Bilingual nanny jobs are positions where speaking a second language is a valued part of the role. Families may want their children to learn a language, keep up a language spoken at home, or communicate with a grandparent or relative. Your language skills can set you apart from other candidates and may support a higher rate.

Types of Bilingual Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Some families want you to speak only the second language with the children, and others want a mix throughout the day. Responsibilities can include childcare, meals, activities, and reading and playing in the second language. Jobs can be full-time, part-time, or live-in, so check the schedule and expectations in each posting.

How to Interview for Bilingual Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • Which language do you want me to use, and how often?
  • How fluent do you expect me to be?
  • Do the children already speak the language?
  • Are there other adults in the home who speak it?
  • Is language teaching part of the role, or just everyday conversation?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
