A little bit about me
I am originally from Vermont where I was a Lead Teacher in a 12-24 month classroom at a play-based childcare center. Prior, I was a substitute teacher in multiple classrooms ranging in age from 2 months to 5 years old. I was responsible for managing a classroom along with one other teacher of 6-8 toddlers daily. I studied Elementary Education at the University of Vermont for 2 years prior to switching to a business degree.
I have experience in lesson/curriculum planning for infants/toddlers and school aged children and have a play based and child-led approach when it comes to curriculum and caregiving. I love to focus on a child’s interests to expand curiosity and independence.
My most recent position was a full time nanny for a 4 month old and I was with her until she was 13 months old. I also cared for her 3 year old brother for 5 hours per week.
I have great references from parents and former colleagues.
