A little bit about me

I was born and raised in the same town I met my husband and chose to raise my daughters who are now in college. I was fortunate enough to stay home while my girls went thru school. That time allowed me to be involved in many community activities some were, coaching, Sunday School, PTA, Team mom, just to name a few. My house was the house kids came to and they were always comfortable confiding in me and looking for sound advice.
Once my girls went off to college, I began to look for a job. I did work in a few offices mostly marketing and business analysis. While I enjoyed those opportunities, I found that even with my college education I was so far behind due to the 25 years of not being in the traditional work force. My gift was care-giving. My husband is also part of my care-giving experience as he is a bilateral upper extremity amputee. He lost both of his arms in a work related accident when we were 22. We met in the 7th grade. We married when we were 30.
Ultimately I fell into a Nanny position with a family that has two children. they were just turned 1 and about to be 4 when we met. I was with them for 2.5 years until the Dad got laid off and he became a stay at home dad and then they were in full day school this past September.
Then I picked up another family. This was also a family of two children. I loved the experience so much that when I moved to Texas in Mid March I decided that once I became settled I would pursue the opportunities here.
I am available any week day and I am very happy to complete a background check upon serious consideration for a position.
