A little bit about us

My wife and I are seeking a nanny to look after our daughter while we're at work (typically Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm). We're open to a shared arrangement. Our daughter was born in May 2024 and she's a healthy, thriving little baby! She will be almost 6 months by the time we are looking to start care.

She takes a bottle easily, enjoys intermittent naps, and loves reading her books (with some adult assistance, of course). We are looking for someone with infant experience who can support her ongoing development with age-appropriate activities, play and outdoor time.

We have one lovely, sweet dog at home; no pet care required. Additionally, one of us is usually working from home.

We look forward to meeting you!

A little bit about us

We are primarily looking for after school care for our 2 children (6yo boy & 4yo girl) who both attend neighborhood school until 3 p.m. (about 3 blocks from the house). The workday would start with picking the kids up from school, play, help with homework etc. to bridge the gap between the end of school & the end of our work days.

Although we are primarily looking for part time / after school hours we'd also like to have someone who could be available for more full-day care during school breaks & could shift to an extended schedule during the summer (though this is not a requirement). We can be flexible on summer hours for a candidate that can stay on in the fall and transition to after school care.

We'd prefer someone who can help with some light prep for the next school day (making lunches, laying out clothes,, etc) and support the kids with clean up and building their responsibility. For summer or school breaks we are looking for someone who can also provide structured activities in addition to play time.

What should I expect in a nanny job interview?

A typical nanny interview process begins with a phone or video call, followed by an in-person interview if the family believes you could be a good fit. During the interview, you can expect questions about your experience, skills, nanny duties you've performed in the past, and how you handle various situations related to child care. Families in Denver may also ask about your willingness to participate in local activities. If you progress past this stage, the family will likely request background checks before offering you the position.

In Denver, it could also include unique aspects like arrangements for ski trips or other common Colorado activities.

What should I know about nanny payroll and salary in Denver, CO?

The nanny salary can vary depending on factors like the number of children, their ages, the nanny's experience level, and the specific duties required. For example, a nanny job in Denver might pay differently than a similar job in another part of Colorado. To get an idea of what you could earn, check out our nanny salary guide specific to Denver.

When it comes to handling payroll, nannies are considered household employees, not independent contractors.
